Revel and Rejoice in the Little Things…at 4am Ssssnnnzzzz
Ok, confession time, I feel awful right now. As in this second.
Right this very minute!
Why do I suddenly feel like I’m on the set of Mame and everybody is about to break into a round of “We need a little Christmas?” Hmmm….
But I digress…
I didn’t sleep very well last night at all. I went to bed on time, 11:30pm and my alarm was set for 6:30am. (Allow me to insert a momentary aside…after much thought and evaluation of my daily routine and weekly work schedule, I decided that if I wanted to be consistent in when I go to bed and get up, that (1) 7 hours of sleep is the most that I can count on as a consistent routine thing; and (2) I forget what two was. I need more coffee.)
But I digress…
The Importance of Making Your Bed
One of the continuing themes that has developed in this blog is that switching from an “unhealthy” lifestyle to a “healthy” lifestyle is very very hard!
And what does “making your bed” have to do with “getting healthy?” Well to most people there may not be a connection, but for me there is.
Keep reading; all will be revealed.
Prepare yourselves, dear readers, all 7 of you who are reading this blog, because once again, we are about to enter the weird and wonderful world of “Tony’s Brain”….
cue the music please, hang onto the guide rope and if you get lost, well, the monster in the subconscious has to be fed somehow doesn’t he? heh heh heh…
2011-12-22, Week 1, Weekly Progress Photos: Third Time’s the Charm!
When I decided, ages ago, that I wanted to do this series of photos, I went to Academy Sports and bought four red shirts and four black pair of shorts. The were in sizes XL – Med. A little while ago when I put on the XL shirt. It didn’t fit.
Saying that “It didn’t fit” is like saying “The Mona Lisa is a famous painting.”
2011-12-22, Weekly Stats — Week 2

This week I had a lot of drama involving my truck which absorbed all my energy. The good news is:
- I have a brand new truck! And I’m loving every bit the “newness” of it!!!!
- I don’t have to worry about breakdowns any more for 100,000 miles (bought an extended mechanical warranty) which means less stress and improved health.
- I don’t have to worry about new tires for the next 3 years (bought a tire warranty) which means less stress and improved health.
- I lost 1 pound from this week (Jenny Craig Weigh-in)
- Lost .51 % Body Fat
- Lost inches.
Prepping For Week 1 or “The Third Time’s the Charm!”
Ready…
Go!
You would think that getting started on a fitness and health plan would be a simple 1-2-3 kind of process:
- Recognize you are out of shape and living unhealthy lifestyle
- Decide to do something about it.
- Do it!
Yeh, right. Dream on boyo!
Week One (kinda) Back on Jenny Craig
Last week, on Dec 15, 2011 I finally kept an appointment at my local Jenny Craig Center. It had been 4 1/2 months since my last visit. Eighteen weeks of falling back into old habits of eating out and eating unhealthy. Oh my!
So, I confessed my sins.
