Dance Calendar 2018-2019 Season

The 2017-2018 dance season was an amazing year. The 2018-2019 season is going to be even better. Here is my journey so far in a couple of pictures:

I’m happy to announce that I won the Crystal Male Advanced Line Dance Division at the 2018 World Championships of Country on Jan 4, 2018. Here’s a very tiny pic. I’ll post a better one soon.

So…You can see that I am working my ass off, quite literally! So far there is 75 lbs gone leaving about 65 lbs to go as of the most recent update.

The Louiville Hoedown, 25th annual convention of the IAGLCWDC, 5th-8th, Louisville KY

This is an awesome event and open to anyone who loves to dance and who has an open mind.
IGLCWDC is the “International Association of Gay and Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs” The evnet is 3 days filled with workshops and social dancing and includes an annual dance competition as well.
I will be competing in the Line Dance Division, dancing the Intermediate / Advanced dances.
I will be dancing during either the Saturday night show or Friday night show, performing my ACDA Superstar Solo “Born This Way”

Dance Mardi Gras, 19th-22nd, New Orleans (UCWDC)

I am hoping to be on staff at this event but details are still being worked out. Sign up for my mailing list to get more detail as we get closer.
One of my students will be competing in ProAm.
I will compete a full program in Advanced Male Line Dance; which age division depends on who else signs up…I want to be in the one that has competition.
I will compete four Dances in Diamond Male Showcase Line Dance.
I will compete in ProPro
–where I dance as a student with another Pro who is coaching me.
I will compete in CTST Two-Step Tour Jack n Jill’s if it is offered.
I will probably compete in West Coast Swing Jack n Jill’s.
I might compete in Line Dance Choreography.

August

Lonestar Dance Invitational, 10th-12th, Austin (ACDA)

Waltz Across Texas, 12th-14th, Houston (ACDA)

I will compete in CTST Two-Step Tour Jack n Jill’s if it is offered.

Christmas in Dixie, 14th-16th, Birmingham, AL (UCWDC)

I have been invited to be on staff at Christmas in Dixie (UCWDC) which is Dec 14th-16th.
I’ve been to Christmas in Dixie several times. It is a fun event; very relaxed and laid back and they give out the very best jackets in either ACDA or UCWDC!
I want to go, but it depends on my budget as to whether I can go or not. I’ll know more later in the year; sign up for my mailing list to get more detail as we get closer.

Dec/Jan

UCWDC World Championships of Country Western Dance, Dec 30th – Jan 6th, Nashville, TN (UCWDC)

It is unlikely that I’ll be on staff, but if I don’t then I may volunteer to help lower costs. Sign up for my mailing list to get more detail as we get closer.
Two of my students will be competing in a combination of ProAm, Line Dancing and Line Choreography.
I will compete a full program in Advanced Male Line Dance in Crystal (30+), Diamond (40+), and in Silver (50+).
