Starting Over…

Starting Line (CC)Brace yourself folks…  this is probably going to be my shortest blog post ever.  And you folks who know me, can stop laughing hysterically.  Right now!

Jus’ the facts:

  • I am horribly out of shape.
  • My weight is affecting not only my health but my daily activities and my dancing.

Goals for this week:

  • Weigh in daily.
  • No diet coke.  None.  Zip.  Nada.
  • Switch to green tea in the evenings / 3 cups coffee in the AM
  • No fast food.  If I don’t fix and eat it at home, it isn’t on the menu.
  • Do “Program Before the Program #1 from Getting Back in Shape: 32 Workout Programs for Lifelong Fitness
  • The “move” part of the program this week will be Line Dance Practice on Tue, Thur, and Friday.
  • On Saturday, I will take my bike out to White Rock Lake and ride it VERY slowly for a very short distance.

There you have it.  Stay tuned.  And wish me success.

  1. Forgot that “move” also includes Couples Dance Practice on Mon, Wed, & Thur. And it includes West Coast Swing Class on Monday. Woot! That’s a lot of moving!


  2. I’m with you. With the hot weather on us, I must get up in the morning and walk as well as water my plants BEFORE I go to work. No more lingering in bed. Too hot to walk in the evenings at this point. Plus I’ve started a line dance class on Tuesday’s but the guys and gals are seniors. Will know this Tues how many are capable of fast music and how many aren’t. Have a bit of both. Am now writing my food down every day. Got Gene to write his down as well as an Incentive for me to write mine down. I weigh more now than I’ve ever weighed in my life – even pregnant so something MUST be done. It’s the beginning of a month and perfect to begin again. So I’m in there with you!


  3. Wishing you MUCH success. I suspect that cutting the diet coke and only eating food you prepare yourself will go a long way toward helping you achieve your weight-loss goal!
