Learn the “Tush Push” Line Dance!!!

Here is your chance to learn the “Tush Push” during “Oldie But Goodie” Week!

Line Dancers in the Plaza-opacity 03-RESIZEDOne of the things that has always frustrated me when learning line dances is the wide spread emphasis on “teach the new stuff and only the new stuff” — [sigh]

So…now that I’m teaching weekly classes, I wanted to make sure that I occasionally taught some of the old stuff:

— the dances that have stood the test of time
— the dances that have been around for ages
— the dances that all the experienced dancers seem to know and love but the newbies never have a chance to learn…because no one ever seems to teach them any more!!!

Arrrrgggggghhhhh!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!  *Grumble*Mumble*Grumble*

Well folks I’m going to do my tiny bit to try and remedy that!!!!!!

So…in every month that has five weeks, I will teach a “Line Dance Classic” during the fifth week.

And if any dance qualifies as a “Line Dance Classic” or an “Oldie but Goodie” then it is the TUSH PUSH!!!!

On Tue the 29th and Wed the 30th,
I will teach the Tush Push in my classes!

Tush Push / choreographed by Jim Ferrazzano
40 count / 4 wall /  Improver level
Stepsheet & Videos: http://www.copperknob.co.uk/stepsheets/tush-push-ID44229.aspx

The Tush Push is danced to all kinds of music: both Country and Non-Country!

Music:  well do you have about two hours for me to list them all?  There are literally hundreds if not thousands of songs to which you can Push your Tush!  Here are my two favorites, one slow and one fast:

Ronnie Milsap Heart and soul
Song: Earthquake / by Ronnie Milsap (125 BPM)

from the Album:
Heart and Soul

.

Song: Total Eclipse of the HeartTotal Eclipse of the Heart Bonnie Tyler

(Radio Edit Remix)
sung by Bonnie Tyler – Remix by Jan Wayne & Lena
(148 BPM)

..

Here are some articles that I have here on my blog about the Tush Push.  Enjoy!

Teaching “American Kids” this week – “Tush Push” next week

The dance I will be teaching
this week is “American Kids

@profile pic 3[drum roll please] In my two weekly classes: on Tue, 22nd in Fort Worth & Wed, 23rd in Dallas,  I shall teach:  “American Kids

Follow the link if you want to see the step sheet and/or video of the dance. It is a 32 count / 4 wall / High Beginner line dance.

This dance is very very VERY popular right now, appearing on multiple “Top Ten” lists  and on play lists for local “Line Dance Parties.”

For those who are new to line dancing, the difficulty level of a line dance is indicated on a sliding scale starting with “Absolute” or “Ultra” beginner moving into “Beginner” through “High Beginner” also known as “Improver” then going on to Intermediate and Advanced.

Big Revival Kenny ChesneyAmerican Kids” is “High Beginner / Improver” — One easy to hear restart (part of what makes it a “high beginner”)  Yay!  Come to my class or Google it if you need a definition of tags and restarts)

It is choreographed by Randy Pelletier.

The music to which the dance is choreographed is American Kids by Kenny Chesney. (link goes to Amazon where you can preview it for free or buy the song for your collection)

Next Week is “Oldie But Goodie” Week

The Tush Push — Everything you didn’t know you wanted to know.

Three Articles out of One:

Recently Google burped.  And the whole Internet Community freaked out.

Seriously!  It is kind of like the punch line from that old joke:

Q: Where does a 500 lb gorilla sit?

A: Wherever it wants!

The fact of the matter is that Google is the biggest most powerful search engine for the Internet on the Planet.  And when Google changes how it calculates page rank, hundreds of thousands of very smart people go to work trying to figure out why their web pages are no longer ranking high and they try to figure out how to get their pages to rank high again!

I write online at Squidoo.com and the folks at Squidoo do all that “figuring out” bit for me.  Over the past few months, Squidoo has been changing things up a LOT!  All in an effort to regain the lost ground from Google’s last ranking system change.

I’ve actually been very lucky.  Most of the changes at Squidoo have not affected any of my lenses.  None of my lenses were caught by Squidoo’s new rules designed to weed out spammers and retain only original creative content.

In fact my lenses were moving up in rank and getting paid more as Squidoo weeded out all the garbage lenses.  Woo Hoo!

Well at least until Read the rest of this entry
