Have you heard of the “Tush Push?”

Line DancersAmong line dancers, there is one dance that reigns supreme: The Tush Push.

This dance has been around since “a long time ago in a galaxy far away” back when “line dances” became formally recognized as a separate and distinct dance genre.

All kidding aside, for many new line dancers, learning the Tush Push is a rite of passage.

Having learned it, you are no longer a person who does a line dance “every once in a while” or only at parties or weddings. Knowing the Tush Push means you have become a “line dancer.” 🙂

The Tush Push is one of the oldest, most popular, best known, line dances in the world!

Because the Tush Push has been around for, literally, decades, and because of the way the dance is structured, the dance can be danced to hundreds, if not thousands of songs from all styles of music: Country, Pop, Rock, Dance, Techno, House and and and and….

Which means that people are always trying to find suggestions about what songs to use when teaching or dancing the Tush Push.

Well, I’m here to help ya out!

I used to have several articles over on Squidoo.com about the Tush Push.  Unfortunately, Squiddo went dark and migrated all the articles over to HubPages.  During the migration, my articles got messed up which was “bad news.”

The “good news” is that I am finally getting to that spot on the “to do list” and I am revamping those articles and publishing them here. Woo Hoo!  Woot!  Uh-huh!  We doin’ a happy dance!  Uh-huh!

Line Dance TIP:

TipThe next time you’re at a club, a bar, or a dance event and you don’t have a dance partner when a great song comes on… do the Tush Push!

Before you get on the dance floor, take a moment to walk through the steps really quick to see if the dance fits the music then if it does, get out in the middle of the floor and start line dancing!

Trust me, as soon as other people recognize that you’re doing the Tush Push, you’ll have a crowd out there with you in the center of the floor! Be sure to observe good Dance Floor Etiquette!
